THINK THE THANATOPOWER IN « OUR » POST-MORTEM SOCIETIES

RÉSUMÉ

La réflexion de Foucault sur la notion de biopouvoir et de thanatopouvoir dans nos sociétés post-mortem, nous permet d'analyser les mécanismes spécifiques et légitimes du pouvoir déchaîné sur les corps individuels et les organisations, hétéroclites aux dispositifs juridico-politiques. La culture mass-médiatique de manière semblable que le sanitaire, font partie d'une biopolitique universalisée. Le processus de disciplinarisation de l’action et du travail, de domination individuelle, de contrôle social, de surveillance numérique, de la liberté d’aller et venir ou de l'hygiène démontre la fragilité de la modernité et de la postmodernité, considérées comme des systèmes de gestion totalitaire d'une part et aussi comment leur biopolitique tend aussi à devenir une nécropolitique.

ABSTRACT

Foucault's reflection on the notion of biopower and thanatopower in our post-mortem societies allows us to analyze the specific and legitimate mechanisms of power unleashed on individual bodies and organizations, heterogeneous to legal-political devices. The mass-media culture, like health, is part of a universalized biopolitics. The process of disciplinarization of action and work, individual domination, social control, digital surveillance, the freedom to come and go or hygiene demonstrates the fragility of modernity and postmodernity, considered as totalitarian management systems on the one hand and also how their biopolitics also tend to become a necropolitics.
